Pupil Premium
Funding
Pupil Premium Strategy
Disadvantaged Pupil funding is a government grant given to schools to support disadvantaged pupils and to close the gap between them and their peers.
Sports Funding
At Weaverham Forest Primary School we are utilising Primary PE and Sport funding to improve the quality and breadth of our PE and Sport provision through continually developing teaching and learning in PE. We are encouraging our pupils to adopt healthy active lifestyles and to take part in a wide range of sports and physical activities including more competitive school sport.
Swimming Provision
As part of the PE National Curriculum, pupils are taught to swim at least 25 metres using various strokes and perform basic lifesaving techniques.
At Weaverham Forest Y1-6 pupils have access to blocks of scheduled swimming lessons. In addition to this provision, identified pupils who would benefit from further swimming opportunities to gain confidence and skills are identified so that they can be provided with extra opportunities to develop these skills.
