Weaverham Forest Primary School and Nursery

Vision & Values

Weaverham Forest Primary School is a community built upon the values that we share – Respect, Kindness and Truth.  We believe in an inclusive education; respecting that no one is the same but that we are all equal.

We are passionate about preparing our pupils to be the best that they can be.  We want our children to achieve the best possible academic outcomes but to also be prepared for being citizens of the future.  We provide a nurturing environment that enables our children to become emotionally literate; understand themselves and others; and make positive contributions to society.

Our curriculum is broad, balanced, relevant and challenging; this is enhanced through enriching experiences and opportunities.

We aim to:

  • nurture independent, lifelong learners who fulfil their potential
  • inspire, engage, and enthuse all our children, to create a love of learning
  • develop citizens who are responsible for their own actions and develop the necessary skills to support this
  • be ambitious in achieving high standards in our teaching and learning
  • provide experiences that are creative, sporting and cultural

In an environment which is:

  • safe, nurturing and calm
  • consistent and purposeful
  • fun, enriching and exciting
  • fully inclusive – celebrating our differences and similarities

We will achieve this by:

  • having high expectations
  • embodying our values which are supported by our rewards and sanctions
  • working in a restorative way
  • researching and using high-quality programmes of work that enhance our curriculum and support the work-life balance of staff
  • using research to underpin our decisions
  • Work in collaboration with parents, carers and our community
